How does Ayahuasca heal, or Where to find the magic pill?

Why is it so difficult to improve one’s health in the world of developed technologies?

Health is most often perceived as something purely personal, limited to the body. And all medicine is built on finding problems in the body and acting on them.Itturns out as it turns out, but not very well in the end. In the last couple of decades, psychosomatics has started to appear, which goes further and already unites the psyche and the body.

Psychosomatics explains the emergence of diseases as a bodily withdrawal of conflicting psychological energy that arose in the brain.

In general, the body and the head have somehow united, but still the understanding of health remained at the level of one person – one personality.psychosomatics, picture aiAnd there is no special joy here either, because even at the level of standard medicine the diseases themselves began to be perceived by many doctors as something confusing, crumpled. Thesecond point is how clearly people themselves are accustomed to admiring their ailments, pestering them and carrying them ahead of them like a flag! What is this?

It is a way of attracting attention through self-pity, an attempt to capture energy to feed their illness, a “healthy” competition for resources.Another great topic to start a heated argument on the net and pile up bytes in the comments is evidence-based medicine! Adarling cub of the Western model of medicine, which itselfisconfusedbypaid research. Buteven if we assume that everything is honest (in some places), where are the effects of treatment with “proven methods”? After all, there are more and moreoften such quotes in scientific articles:

Thegrowing interest in ayahuasca also points out the shortcomings of Western medicine, its therapeutic regimes and the possibility of recovery. Most people who attend traditional ayahuasca healing ceremonies are seeking healing for mental disorders and emotional difficulties. Indeed, some believe that traditional ayahuasca medicine can be a tool to combat the current global mental health crisis. “

And the global crisis is not just about mental health. Health experts, such as Professor Robert Lustig of San Francisco, make it quite clear the boundary at which the rise in chronic disease costs in the US has gone sharply vertically upward. And this is 2014, our days! (Source)

Professor Lustig also says that “life expectancy (life years) and healthy life years (disease-free) in the developed world continue to decline because of the rise in chronic disease .”

And he also says that most patients want a magic pill for everything (let’s remember that fact). But no medication truly cures disease. And, standing at a fork in the road with a desire to regain health, it should click in your head – “don’t go there!” And where should you go? To Ayahuasca. But then pay attention – turn round!

How does shamanic medicine differ from the classical Western approach?

We will try to correctly convey the essence. And perhaps today it will help you to start the path to improving your health. And meeting with Ayahuasca will happen with a completely different understanding, without wasting time on unnecessary things. Yes, people are looking for new ways to heal, not having received recovery in their developed, civilised “environment”. That’s fine. Yes, they find information, evidence, research on the health effects of Ayahuasca. That’sfine too. Yes, they dare to experience it.

But there is often one “but” – in their understanding they continue to look for the same magic pill, only with a mystical component, in unusual conditions. But Ayahuasca does not cure diseases in the usual understanding of a person who grew up in standard medicine.

Ayahuasca leads to recovery through expanding the boundaries of perception, through spiritual development and correction of energy flows. As a consequence – there is rectification and recovery of the physical body.

wellness through spiritual development, illustration

It is not the drink itself through molecules that affects the carnal biochemistry. It is not the intensity and frequency of “cleansing” that guarantees liberation from problems. It isnot the presence of visions that speaks of the strength of the “work” of the plant and the magnitude of the mandatory transformation.

For shamanic medicine, the health of the body is a consequence of the “order” in the energy structures. Ayahuasca brings back one’s ability to connect with that which permeates us all. Wellness, as well as happiness, awareness, transformation, understanding, etc. comes through reconnecting with oneself and the larger world. And this is not a metaphorical connection that you can imagine and fantasise with your head.

It is a feeling and knowledge that does not need proof, faith or any other “hypnosis”.The concept of optimal health that can be found by working with Amazonian plants has a completely different understanding of healing.

It works on several “levels” at once – emotional, spiritual, moral and physical. At the same time, the “physical” work is not on the surface, but at a depth that is usually not realised in ordinary life. And after “clearing the rubble” at these levels, the biochemistry and physiology of the body, as a habitual dense object, begin to be restored.

Diet is a necessary element in shamanism

It may also be worth explaining the concept of ‘diet’ as it is beyond the Western medical and habitual view.

Diet in plant medicine retreat has a similar meaning to understanding the process of ordinary dieting only as having some dietary restrictions. This is where the similarity ends and the concept expands.

A plant diet involves spending a period of time in isolation, drinking master plants and focusing on their spiritual influence and assistance.

Ideally, the spirit of the plant reveals itself and becomes an ally of the student.

Very simplistically, we can say that the diet fulfils several functions:

  • purifying at the level of the body, emotional and mental field;
  • development of intuition – i.e. the acquisition of innate knowledge through interconnection with the world and spiritual experience;
  • getting protection and personal knowledge from the teacher-plant.

Based on the above: there is no single correct recipe of the Ayahuasca, no obligatory number of diets or scientifically proven optimal mode of intake for recovery. There is a master plant, which, due to a different organisation of consciousness, does not divide people into bad or good, but helps and guides everyone who has come to its house. Even without an outpatient card and tests, evenif a person is still in the paradigm of searching for a magic pill – Ayahuasca willaccept anyone to return to the original state of connectedness with oneself and the world, which will ensure bodily health. Maybe it’s time to throw away crutches and arrange an Ayahuasca tour in Peru

    The work was amazing. Ayahuasca helped pull out the most stuck traumas that I didn’t even know about, remove the blocks that prevented me from walking through life with confidence and calm, being truly alive, being myself. I could not achieve such a result by working with a psychologist (I am not at all belittling their work now); in a retreat, the work occurs with great intensity and efficiency.
