I went on a retreat in this beautiful place. It took me a long time to gather the courage, maybe even a few years, until I reached a point where I couldn’t continue living the way I was. I felt weighed down, lacking inner peace, always chasing after something, feeling empty inside, not being sensitive to myself and others, constantly feeling like something was missing, and being dissatisfied with everything around me. Despite appearing successful on the outside – with a career, a certain status in my field, and financial stability – I knew about ayahuasca and was drawn to experience it in the jungle.
Once I arrived in this magical place (a private cabin in the jungle, bathing in a stream, using plants for cleansing rituals, eating food cooked over an open fire like bananas and fish), I began intense plant work, not just with Ayahuasca. The facilitators, considering our needs and conditions, provided a wonderful selection of plant medicines to assist us. The work was amazing. Ayahuasca helped me confront deep-seated traumas I wasn’t even aware of and remove the blocks that were preventing me from living confidently and peacefully, from being truly alive and authentic.
These results surpassed what I had achieved through traditional therapy (I don’t undermine psychologists’ work now either). The retreat’s intensive and effective approach made a significant impact. Ayahuasca, in addition to purging unnecessary baggage, traumas, and hang-ups, provided answers to essential questions about my life’s direction, obstacles, and how to overcome them. It also guided me in working with my body, showing me useful exercises tailored to my needs.
Moreover, the transformative work wasn’t limited to the Ayahuasca ceremonies. It unfolded daily, delving deeper and deeper. The plants cleared my path to genuine happiness, solidifying the changes I experienced. I shed unnecessary habits and patterns that hindered me from living lightly and consciously. My body felt revitalized and healthy, and I let go of self-doubt, gaining a profound sense of inner strength and happiness. Finally, I truly understood what it means to love oneself.
The cliche phrase “be in the moment” became a lived reality for me. I experienced the sensation of being in the flow, acting flawlessly and gracefully, through my body. I can confidently say that the retreat period was the happiest time of my life and brought significant transformations. By changing from within, shifting my perspective toward myself and the world around me, external circumstances miraculously changed as well. I wholeheartedly express my gratitude to this amazing place, the space, the magical plants, and the facilitators – compassionate guides who celebrated every discovery I made and provided guidance.
